Jamie Nasiatka used his CNC Mill to create an aluminum Weighted Companion Cube from the much beloved Portal 2 video game.
It’s made from a solid 3″ square cube of aluminum, with Lexan inserts for the heart shapes, it contains a a BlinkM MinM that pulses colors with a custom designed light script.

hey im a vocational highschool student in manufacturing… im a sophmore so iv used cnc mills b4… just today i thought i would b a great idea to make the companion cube as a personal project since i just got the portyal 2 game yesterday… so i was looking online for pics of the cube to use when i found urs… when i originaly drew it up i had the block as a 1.5 X 1.5 made of aluminum but i would b hard 2 make the heart that small… u think u could give me ur blue prints?
