BlinkM as neat last-minute parade wearable

Adrian on Twitter writes “Hoped to have some kind of wearable thing for , but I wasn’t sure I’d have time to make something. Then I remembered I have a BlinkM.” And then later: “It’s a BlinkM using strips of grocery bags under 1/3 of a ping-pong ball, sandwiched between sanded plexiglass using 1/8th bolts.”

Here’s his wearable heart that beats the flag colors.  So neat!

I wonder if this could expamd to a usb device plugged into a laptop running a DAW such as Ableton or Logic to control and sync wearable LED strips on clothing for live music performances?

Hi Steve,

You could! You could have a tiny Arduino-compatible driving the LEDs and is connected via Bluetooth or WiFi to the DAW. Most DAWS can output OSC over WiFi and I’ve similar Bluetooth solutions.
